加拿大研究报告强调获得中国投资的积极影响 

Canadian research highlights positives of gaining Chinese investment

最近全球对中国在稀土矿资源所有权的垄断问题上争议不断，而华盛顿州的佐治亚大学国际商业系教授Theodore Moran在3月26日发布的一份研究报告解释了中国投资对加拿大资源的国家安全有着什么样的影响。该研究显示，"绝大多数来自中国的海外收购（并不是全部）对加拿大的国家安全并没有威胁。"随着中国投资者对加拿大大量的自然资源越来越感兴趣，"中国采购协议所带来的重要影响并不支持关于中国人锁定全球资源的广泛忧虑。"

With recent controversy over Chinas monopoly in rare earth mineral ownership, a report released on March 26 by Theodore Moran, a professor of international business at Washingtons Georgetown University, examined the impact of Sino investment on the Canadas national security of resources. The study revealed that the "vast majority of foreign takeovers from China, but not all, pose no national security threat to Canada."At a time of growing Chinese interest in Canadas vast natural resources, "The predominant impact of Chinese procurement arrangements does not support popular concerns about Chinese lock up of world resources," according to the report.

It showed that most Chinese foreign acquisitions have been for a minority equity stake and of the thirty-five investments explored, twenty-three helped diversify supply and increase competition. However, the study did highlight cases where the security may be an issue, citing the recent controversy of Chinas self serving policies over rare earth minerals.
